A:Answer I am new to photography as well. i have been renting an A6300 for my trips/events until i actually buy the a6500. the two platforms are very similar, i was able to learn the basics of the 6300 very quickly. because its a rental it didn't come with an owners manual, so i had to rely on information i sourced from the web. (there's plenty of it out there, my advice is that if you use youtube, look for the bigger accounts that have more views. i feel like they are more reliable and accurate) the camera can be used as a point an shoot in Auto Mode, or you can dive into the endless settings and customize. There's a settings reset option in the menu, so in case you go too far with customization, you can fix it all and return to factory settings. (i had to do that on my last rental, as the settings the previous person used were crazy). anway, do your research and see if this camera is right for you and what you want to use it for. i love the 6300 that i rented and can't wait to buy the 6500.. but again this is my first experience with a real camera so i have nothing to compare it to. hope this helps.
