SEE MY OTHER ANSWER FOR 2D TO 3D CONVERSION.. Also , I did alot of research. THIS IS WHAT I THINK IS TRUE. [This is for active 3D TV's only]. Some TV's will drop the resolution below 1080p HD in 3D depending on the refresh rate, [60hz, 120hz,] because the rate is cut in half in 3D.[ alternating left and right displays ], and maybe no upscaling, and has lower brightness because of that.. My Sharp Aquos Q+ is 240hz and stays 1080p HD in 3D , has brightness compensation in 3D and has upscaling which may help. With Sony BDPS 6500 Blueray player, VERY IMPRESSIVE DISPLAY. DO SOME RESEARCH !!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It looks pretty good, and ill tell you why... because unlike viewing in true 3D, the resolution stays the same, meaning watching in 3d, the resolution slightly drops to I think 720p from 1080.. Plus 2D is not too straining on the eyes like it is in 3D. IMO, 2d looks more realistic /believable than most 3d movies. Items needed for 2d-3d conversion: Non 3d movie, 3d glasses, smart 3d tv, or 3d tv connected to 3d bluray player or 3d enabled device..ie a 3d Roku
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't seem like a TRUE conversion - I might be looking at this wrong, but when I put in a NON 3D movie (2D) and watched it in 3D with the glasses it appeared more of a higher contrast than 3D ish. When I put in a 3D movie with my 3D TV it argued with how the TV was handling the 3D and I couldn't quite figure it out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if your TV is 3D and the movie is in that format will you be able to view as true 3D.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not true 3D,which is great.. It is simulated 3D, and it does give you a 3D effect, like movies that were shot in in 2D and converted to 3D, not as good as movies shot in 3D, but can be enjoyable. NOTE You also must have a 3D TV and 3D glasses for that brand TV !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We watched jurassic park that said it was 2d....and it was really 3d on our tv
