If you have a DirecTV cable box it can be connected through one of the available video/audio ports for example using and HDMI cord, unfortunately if you are referring to the application as with HBO Go they are not available through this unit. Both applications are only available from the Google Play store when using a Sony TV with Android. As an alternative you can also connect a device that supports both application such as a computer or a media player through the inputs of this model. ~Jeannette
