Is a battery charger included in this package null

Not a battery charger but a mini USB cord with a wall outlet adapter. You can buy an actual battery charger separately. We have not needed to buy an additional battery or a separate charger.

The unit is supplied with a USB cable to charge the battery installed on the camera. You may refer to page 10 of the operating instructions using the link below for more information. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DSCRX100_EN_ES.pdf

The Sony DSC-RX100 digital camera does come with an AC adapter, which should help charge the cameras rechargeable lithium-ion battery. I hope that helps!
