QuestionI’ve had the dsc-h300 for about a month and I started to ask the question is it possible to change the lens for something that can zoom in more or for better pictures of my friends so is there a type of lens I have to buy and is it even possible ?

- Answer Hi Shawndude, unlike our Alpha cameras (DSLR), it is not possible for the DSC-H300 as it is not an interchangeable lens camera. Best regards, -Mark

- Answer Hi Gillum, PTP means the capability of the camera to transfer images to computers or other devices via USB, in the camera's case, it is PTP/MTP. If you are referring to charging the camera's internal backup battery, simply insert its external batteries with enough charge and leave the camera off for 24 hours or more. Thanks, -Mark

- Answer This camera is a great little camera that's lightweight and simple however the lens is fixed so you will not be able to use different lenses though this lens does have pretty good optical zoom. The main drawback if you're trying to do YouTube videos is that the screen does not pop out or flip in any way it is fixed to the back of the camera so there is a little difficulty in getting selfies or being able to see yourself while you're filming which is something to think about. Other than that this camera does really good it's really lightweight and easy to use it also has a simple mode that makes it even easier to use if you're just trying to capture quick normal videos and photos.

QuestionGranddaughter received this camera for Christmas. The battery life is not good at all. Can Lithium batteries be put in this to increase the life? You should be able to take more than 100 pictures on the regular AA batteries in my opinion, nothing less.

- Answer Hi John60, no, you may only use AA alkaline batteries or AA Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries with this camera. There are some conditions which result in a decrease of battery life such as operating the camera at low temperature. Regards, -Mark
