How long must you charge the controller? null

Just charge it when the battery is low. Or whenever you're done using it after a game.

never timed it, but about 20 min full charge i guess. you can play with wire connected while its charging

This controller? It never gained charge!!! Registered and everything but did not ever work!

I think the first time to fully charge it takes overnight. After that I keep one controller plugged in while I play using a second controller. Then I switch them around the next time I play. That way I never run out of battery life.

i charge it for about 30-40 min while playing.

you charge a SONY controller until the blinking red light on the controller while being charged stops blinking.

2 -3 hours . . when the lights stop flashing . it means it is fully charged . you can take it off

to get a full charge, give it an hour and a half. That should do it.

usually my controller is charged fully after abut 30 minutes and last very long, lucky for us sony was smart enough to put rechargeable batteries in all of its controllers so we dont have to waste our money on batteries like xbox users do
