QuestionWill P series batteries work?Will the P series of batteries work with this camcorder as well? I have a few older, but higher capacity NP-FP70 batteries from my older mini-DV cams, or do I need to use the V series for the AX33? Thanks!

QuestionMic Input (Mono or Stereo)?Would anyone happen to know if the mic input might be stereo? The reason I ask is that I'm looking to film a piano performance, but feed the audio in from the digital piano, rather than recording the sound coming from the piano speakers. Thanks!

QuestionIs there any built in memory/storage?Can I record directly to this camera with out an SD card? Clever marketing if not because many of these prosumer cameras say "flash memory camcorder" but don't specify the quantity of flash memory. for example Canon's Vixia HF G20 specifies that there is 32GB of flash memory, where as the Sony AX33 does not. The buyer assumes that when it says flash memory that memory comes installed within the body of the camera.

- Answer No. You must use your own memory card. If you are going to record 4K video, you must have an SDXC UHS1 (Speed 3) card. With a 128 GB card, I can record about 5 1/2 hours of video in 4K resolution. Keep in mind that the camera also records an HD file (1920 x 1080 pixels) along with the 4K file (3840 s 2160 pixels). I haven't tried to find out if this second file can be defeated, as I like having it as a backup and to use it for trial editing.

- Answer Due to the high data capture to the SD card by design this is not possible. Perhaps with future models as SD cards get faster.

- Answer Yes, with any HDMI capture device (BlackDesign ATEM mini, Elgato HD60 or CamLink are examples) and a micro HDMI to HDMI cable, you can record to FaceBook Live/YouTube. By itself, not so much.

- Answer Yes the AX33 does have time and date, and you can transfer directly from the camera with the supplied USB cord or if you have a SD card reader in your PC, you can pop it into your computer as well.

QuestionI recorded a 2 1/2 hour video and I need to burn the video to a dvd. What dvd do you recommend?

- Answer Blu Ray is the only DVD that can hold that length of time. You didn't mention whether you recorded it in 4k or 1080. The old DVD only will hold 4.7 GB Anything over an hour in wide screen HD results in lowering the quality so it will fit. Plan on using 2 DVD's. Blu Ray is more expensive to buy and the burner is more expensive and the software is more expensive. Amazingly Blu Ray never was considered a have to buy player for most. The norm was 1080p HD and 4K is taking over.
