Piece of cake. My camcorder came with an external charger. This permits me to be using the camcorder and be recharging my 2nd battery simultaneously. Of course the battery may also be recharged by using the camcorders internal charger. 1. Make sure the battery is properly positioned on the camcorder as if it were fully charged and you want to begin taking video. 2. Simply insert the POWER CORD into the AC adapter that came with the camera. The other end of the power cord is a normal plug and you simply insert it into any wall outlet. The AC adapter already has a cord permanently connected to itself with the end being a DC-IN plug. That plug goes into the Camcorder DC-IN jack. When inserted (assuming the AC adapter's other cord is plugged into the wall outlet), a small orange light will appear just above the video "START/STOP" button (located to the right of and about 1 inch below the viewfinder eyepiece). When the battery is fully charged, the light will go out. 3. Perhaps you are uncertain where the DC-IN jack is located on the camcorder. It is below the START/STOP Video button. NOTE: My camcorder is new and so the controls all have easy to read labels such as "START/STOP", and "DC-IN". On a used camcorder, the labels may have worn off off be faded to the point of not being discernible. They are both to the right of and below the viewfinder eyepiece.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi novice, there are two ways to recharge the camcorder's battery. One is using the supplied AC adapter, two is by purchasing an external battery charger (BC-TRV). Regards, -Mark
