Q: QuestionIs Sony A9G TV supported for S-Center out? If it is, will a cable be provided and what is the length of it?

• A:Answer Hi burntrubber, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. Currently, the BRAVIA Acoustic Center sync mode of the HT-A9 is only compatible with 2021 BRAVIA TV models such as the Z9J series, A90J series, A80J, and X95J series. However, you can still connect your A9G TV via HDMI ARC/eARC connection to output the sound from your TV to the HT-A9. Hope this helps! -Sam

You can output the TVs sound to the HT-A9 by connecting the HDMI ARC/eARC port of the TV to the HDMI out ARC/eARC (Audio Return Channel/Enhanced Audio Return Channel) port of the system. You can also hear the sound of the connected device (PlayStation) on the HDMI input port of the TV to the system. Additionally, you can enable the Control for HDMI function (“BRAVIA” Sync) of our HT-A9. This enables you to interlock the speaker system operation such as power on/off or volume adjustment with your TV remote control. Q: QuestionI have an LG CX & have the earc option on on both my tv & the HT-A9. When I check the hdmi 2 label it shows as arc, not earc but can play Dolby vision/atmos on tv app. Is earc active?

• A:Answer I have a Bravia and LG 7.1 eARC Soundbar in one of the room. The TV & LG Sound have eARC but the display LED shows ARC when switching to Atmos content, Bluetooth. No issue on movies and any streaming content. Seems like an LG labeling thing? Bravia to HT-A9 works seamless.

Q: QuestionI use projector instead of a TV, which is 15 feet across the room. In the setup video for the HT-A9, it says to place the control box close to the TV. Can I place it next to projector instead or will that cause problems? Maybe relocate box after setup?

• A:Answer I don’t see any reason it has to be near the projector screen. The only thing limiting the distance would be the length of the hdmi cable.

Q: QuestionI'm interested in the HTA9, but was wondering if Sony was planning on allowing a dual sub connection with the SW5/SW3 through a future software update? I'm weighing them against the Sonos Arc and Sonos' ecosystem which allows for dual subs.

The HT-A9 360 Spatial Sound Mapping Dolby Atmos®/DTS: X® Home Theater System doesn't support two wireless subwoofer connections. We can only connect one subwoofer 200W wireless subwoofer (SASW3) or 300W wireless subwoofer (SASW5) to the unit. However, you can take your HT-A9 experience to the next level with Sony’s optional subwoofers SA-SW3 or the SA-SW5 which allows you to customize and tailor how much extra bass you want to add to your setup. These subwoofers automatically pair to the HT-A9 for seamless and easy setup. - Kris

• A:Answer For optimal sound the highest you can set the speakers is at head-level. You will still get great sound regardless, but you will be able to tell were the sound is coming from instead of being all around you which defeats the purpose of the spacial sound mapping.
