Thanks for your question, Anaines. The NW-A306 is preloaded with Android 12. During the Initial setup, you can connect to the internet, add Google accounts to access additional applications, or skip this part. You can enjoy some functions on your Walkman device without a Google account. You can import songs to the music library and listen to music without a google account, but you won't be able to download any music streaming apps. This player has two home screens; Android Home screen (Default Android Home screen) and WALKMAN Home screen (Home screen customized for music playback). Pre-installed apps cannot be uninstalled. While you can't uninstall these apps, you can, however, disable them in certain cases. I hope this helps. Regards, Jess
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I refuse to sign into Google, but apps are on the screen. (I could scream!) The only thing I tap on the screen is the music library button. It looks like no apps can be uninstalled, but you can ignore them. You also don't have to connect to the internet to play your music. You don't have to create a security pin code, either. I thought you did and could swear it said somewhere you could not get rid of it, without sending the player to Sony, but just discovered that's not true. I just deleted mine. :)
