The short answer is no. Playstation VR games cannot be played using the Playstation VR2. However, many Playstation VR games have gotten, and will get, remakes/remasters, making them available on PSVR2. Some of these have been free upgrades, others discounts, and some full price.

There will likely be quite a few PSVR games that receive an update in the future to provide PSVR2 functionality as a few already have.
