Hi Jambo, Thank you so much for your inquiry regarding our Digital Voice Recorder. The Sony ICD-UX570 digital voice recorder does not have the functionality to go back and insert or record over a previously recorded segment. Once you have recorded audio, it is not possible to erase a specific sentence and record over it directly. Instead, you will need to create a new recording or delete the entire file and start from scratch. Sony's current digital voice recorders, does not offers this capability.
