Hi TimH, thank you for your inquiry. Wall mounting brackets are not required. You only need to prepare a mounting screw (not supplied) since this speaker already has a wall mount hole on the back. Please refer to this link for the step-by-step guide on how to properly mount the speaker on the wall. https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/5011/25ba7aa1f75e8d2cc5defccfee5539b4/50115271M.pdf Regards, Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My Technician mounted my rear speakers to the wall using 3 inch corner braces purchased from Home Depot. The 2-1/2 inch corner braces would have probably worked; however, I wanted gold instead of silver corner braces and the store was out of that size in gold so we purchased the 3 inch corner braces. I'm no tech person but depending on how your rear speakers will be mounted (from the back or side of rear speaker) the choice of tools to use to mount your speakers will be up to you. As you can see from the pics my rear speakers were mounted from the side instead of directly from the back of the real speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No brackets needed. There are keyholes on the back. They’re light enough that I have a single wood screw holding each of them up. I’m sure there are more elegant solutions, but that’s what I had on hand, and nobody else will ever see it.
