  • QuestionI am having troubles connecting my Sony Hta8000 sound bar with my sw3 subwoofer. And trouble shooting suggestions?

    Asked by Broncobilly.

    • Answer Hi Broncobilly, We're sorry to hear that you're having an issue connecting your SASW3 subwoofer to your Sony HTA8000 soundbar. If you have not yet started setting up the speaker system, Use the app to start the setup for the speaker system and optional speakers. During the setup process, the app will guide you to connect optional speakers. If you have already completed the setup of the speaker system and you're still unable to establish a connection, please follow the troubleshooting steps below: Ensure Both Devices Are Powered On: Make sure both the soundbar and the subwoofer are turned on. Check the Wireless Connection: The SASW3 subwoofer connects wirelessly to the HT-A8000 soundbar. Ensure that the subwoofer is within the recommended range of the soundbar and that there are no significant obstacles or interference sources between them. Verify the Connection: Once paired, the indicator light on the subwoofer should stop blinking and remain solid (green light), indicating a successful connection. Make sure that the firmware of the soundbar is up to date. Reset if Necessary: If the subwoofer does not connect, try resetting the soundbar. • QuestionCan this be connected with wires to the soundbar or do you have to use the wireless? I have a Sony HTA300 3.1 soundbar and a Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR A80J Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV. My room is 15ft x 15ft.

    Asked by jd.

    • Answer There is a port behind a glued on cover, but I think that is for testing purposes, this sub is wireless only. it is also poorly built, so I wouldn't recommend it either way. One died in a month, the replacement just died after 4 months, both due to a connection vibrating loose.

  • QuestionDoes this sub works with the Sony 2.1 channel Soundbar system?

    Asked by HunterK.

    • Answer Hi Dub, Thank you for your inquiry. The SA-SW3 wireless subwoofer is designed to pair seamlessly with select Sony soundbars (Sony BRAVIA Theater Quad, BRAVIA Theater Bar 9, BRAVIA Theater Bar 8, HT-A9, HT-A7000, HT-A5000, HT-A3000, and HT-S2000 soundbars) that support wireless subwoofer connectivity, enhancing your audio with deep, powerful bass. Please note that if you own a Sony 2.1 channel soundbar system, such as the HT-S350, HT-X8500, HT-S400, HT-S200F, or others, the SA-SW3 subwoofer is not compatible with these systems. Regards, Jess

  • QuestionWould it be better with 2 of these 200w subs or 1 300w wireless sub? Connecting to an str-AN1000

    Asked by KennethW.

    • Answer 2 subs always better for more evenly distributed bass throughout the room. This isn’t for loudness, but rather allows for a similar experience no matter where you sit in your room. 2 wireless subs of same model will connect to the str-an1000 receiver.
