I have both. The M is not region free. That's a lie. There is no bluetooth on M. That's a lie. There is Dolby Vision. Another lie. With the M, Dolby Visiom was on it without sn update. Only difference is the M comes with hdmi cable.

I was just in the store looking at the X700/M because my 700 won't play Dolby Vision. Turn the DV option on and get no video feed at all. Both boxes say Dolby Vision on them however, Best Buy does NOT list DV as a feature on the website for X700/m. Why is that? Brand new TV, brand new cable 48Gig 2.1, still no DV video from Sony player.

Please try again later.I just looked at the 700M on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Theater-Streaming-Blu-ray-Player/dp/B08ZFYVS9T/ref=dp_fod_1?pd_rd_i=B08ZFYVS9T&psc=1. Scroll down to a table of features and models. For the 700M, all features are checked including Dolby Vision. The model 700 is not included in the table.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I notice two huge differences. The M version has no mention of supporting Dolby Vision and the new model has Bluetooth as a trade off I guess under the description. This also includes an HDMI cable.
