UPDATE: In general, calculated as follows for 16GB, about 3600 music files in MP3 format, about 1600 files in Lossless format, 1430 files in FLAC Hi-Res format. Bit rates and length of music affect the number of files.

Depends on how you keep the format. Regular or Hi-res, Flac, WMA, AAC, MP3 or so on. Im using 512GB with over 4000 music with Flac and WMA lossles, but I will have over 300GB available.
