A:AnswerIt does not beep when you change the volume but all other functions beep. You can cue up a song with it paused so it does not play until you press a button. If you wait too long it will shut off.

A:AnswerUsing the software provided I loaded all three discs of Moody Blues and the software took care of it for me - each CD downloaded was labeled differently i.e. disk 1, disk 2 etc. Not certain about podcasts, but it should work the same way.
