• The bose are more bass heavy, the Sony are much more detailed. Noise canceling is definitely on Sony's Side

• I own both and I will say if you have the Bose just stick with them. I bought the Sony’s because they take up less space. The loop isn’t hanging on my neck and twisting around all crazy. The phone calls are terrible on the Sony’s though. The mics pick up all the background noise. The noise canceling to me is about equal. The thing is Sony sends you silicone and foam tips that seal better than the Bose so the passive noise canceling is better which in turn makes it seem Like the the active Noise cancellation is more effective on the Sony's. But the battery life is better on the Bose. I love them both.

• The Bose have a deeper bass soundstage. Do have great left right separation but not as good depth/placement. I was not fond of the Bose app
