The Sony base or case act as a battery. The usb-c to a usb charger cord only charges the case with the earbuds in or out of the case. If the usb-c isn’t connected to the case but your earbuds are in it, it is charging the earbuds to full. The Sony App indicates the battery percentage for all three, but the app reads the battery lives when your earbuds are connected.
