I would probably use q-tip and rubbing alcohol

Wipe the tips with a soft dry cloth to remove dirt. Do not wash the tips in water or with a wet wipe. Doing so can speed up deterioration. Sharp objects, fingernails, adhesive tape, etc. may damage the tips.
