Yes. There's a feature to enable ambient sound, and there's also the option of having it automatically switch to ambient sound once you start talking. You can set an amount of time for the ambient sound feature to turn back into the noise cancellation mode after being triggered by either your voice or another's (depends on settings).

Please try again later. The WF-100XM4 do have a transparency mode, which can be activated in Sony's Headphones app on a phone, and can be tailored to a preferred level of transparency based on location and whether you're walking or staying still, etc. There is a feature that can be activated by holding a finger on the left earbud touch surface that also turns your music down to a murmur, and pipes in sound via the mics if you just need to have a quick chat. They also have the ability (again, via app) to be 'aware' of overhead announcements, which is super helpful when in a waiting area, or if you ever need to be in an airport or train station. I hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Thinking, we appreciate your interest in our newest industry-leading noise canceling earbuds. Like any other earbuds that have transparency mode, SONY has its own similar feature in this WF1000XM4 which is called the Ambient sound mode. Ambient sound cancels noise while still allowing essential sounds, like overhead announcements, through when you're listening on the move.
