“I am using an Yamaha TSR-7850. If I connect the TV to the receiver's HDMI out and the Sony Headphones to the receiver's HDMI (ARC) out, when I turn on the headphones, will the sound stop coming out from the speakers connected to the Yamaha Receiver?”

I tried using HDMI and got no sound out of the TV’s speakers while the headset was off the cradle. I had to use the digital audio out. Not sure if it should have worked, but once I used the digital audio out it did start working.
