• No power necessary when listening through the cord. They actually have better sound quality, as opposed to listening through Blue Tooth and Noise Canceling. All the excess electronic processing degrades sound quality.

• Negative. They work with the aux cord and no power, they just don't sound as good or provide noise cancelling.

• Hi, OldSchool! No. You can use the headset without even charging it or while it is off. In this case, the unit will work as ordinary headphones. -Vincent
