When you first turn them on they will go into pairing mode, once they do go into your bluetooth setting and find the name of the headphones for example WH-1000XM5.

You can enjoy music and hands-free calling with the headset wirelessly by using your Bluetooth device’s Bluetooth function. To use the Bluetooth function, both of the connecting devices must be registered in advance. The operation to register a device is called “pairing”. Pair the headset and the device manually. Our ultra comfortable WH-1000XM5 headphones rewrite the rules for distraction-free listening and exceptional call clarity. Two processors control multiple microphones for unprecedented noise cancelling while Auto NC Optimizer automatically optimizes noise cancelling based on your wearing conditions and environment. The specially designed 30 mm driver unit delivers superior sound quality for all your entertainment. Regards, Erin

Once turned on, press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button until the blue light starts flashing (two quick flashes followed by a short pause, repeating as long as in pairing mode). Release the Power/Bluetooth button and search for the headphones on your desired device and pair with them. Note: The Power/Bluetooth button is a SINGLE button, the two functions are combined. You do not need to press more than the one button to get into pairing mode.
