QuestionI am wondering if anyone knows if this soundbar turns off automatically? I like to leave the soundbar on all the time so I do not have to deal with 2 remotes. My Directv Genie remote can control the volume but not the power to soundbars. Thanks!

- Answer Hi.. Mine does power on and off automatically but I control my TV through Xbox controller with Chatpad attached. Xbox has settings does allow controlling external devices to be turned on and off automatically with powering on and off xbox. Volume is also controlled by chat pad X1 and X2 buttons. My cable is also hooked thru Xbox.

- Answer The sound bar is about the length of the box. I have a 48 inch tv and it's not nearly as long as it. I would say maybe 28 inches

QuestionIs the sound bar compatible with a Samsung 32" Model 940032 UN32EH4003 TV. The TV has only one set of audio jacks (RCA) and does not say if they are for (inlet) or (outlet).

- Answer It should. The RCA jacks are very old school and my Sony, I have three, all connected without a problem.

- Answer I believe the NS-SB314 has manual controls on top of the speaker for volume and switching between the different inputs and the bass boost button as well as a remote control. The NS-SB316 only has the controls via the remote. I'm not 100% positive on that, but pretty sure that is the main difference...

QuestionI have a westington house tv and an insignia sound bar model number. NS-SB316. I have the rca cables and there is no sound coming from the tv. I do not know what I am doing wrong.

QuestionIs there a way to make the soundbar remain powered on? After trying numerous insignia product codes my directv remote will not control the soundbar.When the receiver and tv are turned off the soundbar times out and turns off.

- Answer Are you by chance referring to the Bluetooth? Because as long as the green power light is presses and glowing "on", it should remain "powered" on... However, the Bluetooth does disconnect if you turn off device it was connected to...

QuestionThe sound on my Samsung Smart TV keeps going in and out. I'm sure there's something wrong with the TV. If I get a soundbar will that bypass the TV speakers so that the sound is on even if the TV sound fluctuates?

- Answer Check in your sound settings mine had the same issue it is an equalizer that will cut sound to preserve speakers

QuestionWhat jack size is the insignia soundbar subwoofer cable? It doesn't quite fit a 1/4 in jack, like an amplified instrument. I have never seen this size before, and I am a musician! Without this cable, there is no way to connect subwoofer for the low lones

- Answer It's the same size jack as for a set of ear buds, or a head set. If you have the speaker bar you have the patch cord that's included. If I were you, I would check in a Best Buy store with the 2 different jacks, they should be able to tell you what the 2 different sizes are. Then, check on line for an adapter for them. Good luck.

- Answer Your best bet is to hit up some yard sales. You can usually come across a small subwoofer. Oh, and this unit does come with a subwoofer output. Please refer to the main page, picture 7.
