Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if one is removed from the ear the playback stops. Keep in mind I predominantly only use one ear while working, but if it detects it is removed, playback stops. I’m not sure about with both ears, or the weak connection, but I hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The default settings will pause the media if an earbud is removed, but you can change that. As far as distance from your phone goes ... Bluetooth in general, is a short-range technology, inherently limited to about 100' or less. Obstructions will further reduce this. That being said, the liberty 4 NC does as well as any earbuds I've owned. I have no problem with connectivity when walking around my apartment. I recommend a case as well, but I'm a butterfingers.
