Q: QuestionLooking for a versatile system to use on our TV & stream audioHi, we're looking for a versatile system that will work as a good home theater system but will also work for streaming music, podcasts & internet audio content. We were debating on either the Soundtouch 20/30- or the multiroom speaker line & the Soundtouch 120/130 or the home theater system line. If you can only buy one system- which one should you get??? I know they are totally different systems that serve different purposes but if you were to only buy one that has the most bang for buck, meaning-- the best balance of audio quality, price & versatility-- which system would that be? Assuming both tv watching experience & music streaming qualities are ranked equally in priority, which would work best?

• A:Answer I would definitely go with the Bose Soundtouch 130. We just bought it and I can say it is worth every penny. And, the nice thing is that it is always expandable and that would be wireless as long as your home is set up for wireless access. You would be able to put speakers anywhere in your home and they would be able to pick up the signal from the Bose Soundtouch 130. The sound is so immersive, it's incredible. To have movie theater sound from just a soundbar and subwoofer is incredible. And you get so many additional options for streaming music with the Bose Soundtouch 130, you would be very happy with this choice. Good Luck!

• A:Answer Thank you for reaching out to ask. While it is not necessary to use a non-Bose audio receiver with this system (it comes with its own console), you certainly can run the output of a receiver into the console if that fits the individual needs of your set up.

Q: QuestionDoes this system provide surround sound?When I purchased this system I was told that it would provide surround sound, the system has been installed, but I'm not sure that it does.

• A:Answer No. You do get some left/right resolution with the sound bar, but not a true surround sound. The audio clarity is very good.

Q: QuestionIs the Sound Touch 4K compatible On the Bose websiteit states that the Sound Touch is 4K pass through which I interpret as 4K compatible. Yet on the Best Buy FAQ it states that the system is not 4K compatible. Which is true?

• A:Answer Hello there. The SoundTouch will definitely pass through 4k video to a 4k TV from a 4k source. However, the Sound Touch will not produce 4k video or upscale video to 4k. Thanks for the question!

Q: QuestionCan headphones such as the Bose® - SoundLink® Wireless Around-Ear Headphones II receive audio from the Soundtouch 130 while the speakers are muted for individual user viewing?

• A:Answer Good Question, as the SoundLink Around Ear II headphones and the SoundTouch 130 are both Bluetooth receivers they would not be able to connect as you suggest.

• A:Answer The 130 is a longer soundbar and better sound. The 120 is a great product but put them side by side and you'll hear the difference. If you have the space get the 130 you won't be disappointed.
