• This is NOT a fireproof file cabinet. When you use the lock on the bottom drawer, both drawers lock, but it wouldn't take much to get into the drawers when they are locked. This will keep your coworkers or kids out of your files, but it won't keep someone determined to get in out for very long. If you have the wheels attached, it can be a bit tippy until you put some weight in the bottom drawer or you have the drawers pulled out. It also moves very easily so sometimes it does move when you pull the drawers out on wood floors. Not sure about carpet. That having been said, if you are looking for a basic two drawer file cabinet on wheels, it fits the bill very well.
