The case is slippery despite the ridges. Hard, slippery plastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the clear case with the ridges all the way around and it works fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The grips work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The clear version has little to no grip. I went back to my black version with the much grippier ridges. Skip this one for sure!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I find the clear case is very grippy, I do not find it slick
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While the ridges are somewhat grippy, I still feel like it is slicker that I personally prefer. I love the clear case and rather than switching it out, I believe I will purchase a "button" for the back of the case to hold on to. I think this will give me the extra protection against it slipping out of my hands.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ridges do act as grips. I would not call this case slick at all. I have actually gotten two complements on this case... it must look good, bc no one has ever said “hey, nice phone case” to me before. Ever.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are not as grippy as the colored ones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They *improve* the grip; the back is pretty slick otherwise. I found the case less grippy than the old rubber grip versions of days gone by. I ended up returning mine for other reasons (the buttons were nearly impossible to press) and replaced it with an Otterbox Symmetry. Weirdly, and this could be personal preference, the slightly rubberized edges on the Symmetry provide a much better grip for me than the ridges on the Speck. YMMV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its not slick, we also purchased the blue phone and love the way it looks.
