A:Answer Hi, the sides and back are beautifully finished in a gloss black, smooth metal surround. The top is a durable thick Board with a nice finish similar to good quality Formica in a flat black color. My entire kitchen is Stainless trimmed in black, new LG brand appliances and this SPT looks gorgeous in my kitchen next to them. My Dishwasher sets against the end of my eat at bar counter and looks great, it's the same height as standard countertops (36 inches) so it beautifully extends my counters and appears almost to be built in.
