Honestly, I'm not quite sure cause the digital is cheaper by far. But I guess if you prefer physical then digital, this is the way to go. Some people really like having physical copies of video games as it gives more freedom to play it without the possibility of a company taking a game away from you. Kind of how Amazon is with their eBooks where they just out of nowhere take books off people's list without mentioning anything and giving no refunds. Or, just to have a physical copy and start collecting games on a shelf. It's sometimes a hobby of people to show off what they got or to look at. Kinda hard to do that when you have a digital copy. I prefer physical over digital but this is a little pricey compared to digital. I suppose it makes sense since the company has to pay to have the physical made, print the front and back cover, etc. Have to make up that cost somewhere, right?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree with the other people who answered. Some people like to collect physical things, and so this is a physical copy that someone can either play or collect. I bought the collectors edition of Stardew when it came out in Japan, and I'll probably buy this one also, so I have both physical copies of it. I prefer physical because if for some reason I lose my switch, I'm not losing all of my games, only one. I realize that Nintendo saves your account and related information in the "cloud" or whatever they call it, but there's no guarantee they'll get your games back to you. They may try, but the information can still be lost. With a physical copy, you might lose your save data, but at least you won't have to buy the game again. Everyone has different reasons for why they like one thing over another. I also agree that they need to cover the cost of publishing it and that's why it's more expensive. Remember that a lot of the physical games for Switch are $50- $60, sometimes more, so $35 isn't so bad when you really think about it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the physical version over digital for several reasons. 1 it saves console memory, 2 I prefer physical games for the switch. 3. When the day comes and the switch store gets shut down, I don't have to worry about having the game downloaded because I have physical copy. I could have bought digital for ps4 and switch for the same price but in my opinion it was worth it. Still may buy digital for ps4. I'm not a fan of physical disks, I've had to replace several copies of disk games from over use, getting scratched etc. Don't gotta worry about carts as much.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Physical copy over digital copy, depends on personal preference
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only reason why I purchased the physical copy is to add it to my collection. I do own the digital version as well, but if you are unsure or do not collect games you should probably not buy the physical version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is the physical version, you can get what you prefer. Personally, I like having the physical games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s because it’s a collectors edition
