• A:Answer No. I had read on the Starlink site someplace that one could create an account WITHOUT starting service. This was my desire as I bought it for camping and home emergency usage. I created an account and it immediately activated the service, which I did not want. I emailed customer support and they took care of the issue by stopping service and leaving the $50 on my account for a future month. It took 3 days to get their response.

• A:Answer Yes but you will need a wifi repeater most likely. The mini costs more because it has accelerometers and gyroscopes that tell the antenna how to adjust to no lose the satellites while it’s traveling on the road.

• A:Answer You can use the regular sized dish or the mini with the Roam plan. The mini is just more compact and easier to set up, you connect power and it has the wifi router built in. The regular one has a bigger dish and requires you to run the dish cable to the router and into power.
