Like any other electronics device, you would need to have it on a UPS, or be running a generator. It, by itself, still needs external power to operate.

It consumes about 70 watt per hour when active, 40 watt per hour when idle, 140 watt when snow melting mode is activated. The service itself does not depend on local power grid.

Please try again later.I'm sorry but why would somebody ask a question like that it's pretty obvious it's not self-contained you need a generator anybody that lives remote like myself has a generator actually I have two a backup for the backup for the backup anybody that lives off grid knows you must have a backup plan for every other backup plan you have
