Download Starlink app. It has a visual obstruction detector. Unlike DISH and DirecTV Starlink needs a very wide view of the sky. Trees are a big problem. If you want to use zoom, make phone calls and game you need to have virtually no obstructions. If you just want to browse Internet and stream videos a small amount of obstructions (5-15%) is ok. If you have 20+ % of obstructions you need to either raise the dish, cut the trees, or forget Starlink. Starlink dish heats itself and slowly melts ice and snow on its surface. Small amount of ice and snow on the surface is not a problem. Heavy rain and heavy wet snow in the air degrade signal and cause outages but they are not that long, 5-20 minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use the Starlink App to check your obstruction situation. Anything less than 100% suggests you will have interruptions in service (but in my experience not as much interruption as predicted).

I used it until it broke and I could not get starlink service to respond. Until I learned about the starlink customer support I recommended it. It has a heater that comes on if ice and snow form.
