Q: QuestionCan the battery be switched out with a fresh one when it's depleted? If not, what is the average charge time & product life expectancy?

• A:Answer Yes the batteries can be switched out. Unit lasts a half hour with constant use.

Q: QuestionDay 3 using this. We have been very careful to open it upright so water doesn’t get into the battery contact area but it’s almost impossible to avoid some water. Does this mean the battery is damaged?

• A:Answer I'm 300 pounds and I rode my friend's 300 watt, and while I couldn't go as fast as he could, it worked pretty well. I bought the 800 watt model and it got here today. I expect it will carry ne much better (I got it today and it's charging as I write this.

• A:Answer IN general: lead acid batteries: keep fully charged NiCd: keep fully discharged NiMH: doesnt matter too much but 50% is good idea for storage. (they self discharge fairly quickly) Liion: keep battery between 40 and 60 percent charge for storage. don't fully discharge if possible, and use right away if fully charged.
