A:AnswerNo. You can take it down any time. Be aware that sometimes, in the heat of the summer, the suction will release on it's own if it has been installed for several weeks (but it has never damaged anything when it did - you just stick it back up).

A:AnswerBased on the answer from the Garmin rep, this mount will work. The Garmin expert said to use model # 010-11983-00. That's the model number of this mount so apparently, it will work.
