I can understand not sitting on it but I lie against it and I’m fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does get very hot, so I assume they are protecting themselves by saying that, I have it on my bed and lie on it to help my sciatica, I turn it off when I get hot.

There should be room for air to circulate on the heating pad to reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, and personal injury.
