Assuming your projector is the LG PH550, I would say yes it will hold the projector...weight wise. However, does this projector have a mounting port on the bottom to mate to the mounting of the tripod? If so, it should mount easily. However, the projector will have a larger footprint than a video/camera and this may change the center of gravity of the tripod. Spreading the legs to the maximum would aid in a possible reduction of this change. Should you attempt to make this attachment, try it on a level surface and check for any unbalance issues, run the cables down the center of the stand to aid in a reduction in the center of gravity change. If the projector does not have the correct mating/attachment locations, a suggestion would be to locate a more suitable mounting surface. Just my $.02 worth.
