The scooter will still go it my be slower or not depending on the incline also it may need a little kick start but I have had no problems with it other than it is a little bit slower to stop than I expected but it is okay because at this point I’ve learned how to stop and slow down and fly around turns
A:AnswerFirst it would depend on how tall your 8 year old is. The handle bar is rather tall but not too tall for a average height adult. This is my opinion only but anyone under 5'1" would have issues controlling the scooter. But again this is just my opinion.
