A:Answer Its an actual 4k NVR, however, you dont have to use a 4k screen as it will work on smaller screens 2ks, or 1080s, use the manual resolution as the automatic will probably not show complete screen. If you are used to the other Swann systems, they have different features, What are your needs? These system's features include Face Detection, and Human & Vehicle Detection, if you dont need those, their other systems are good too. I must advice! Some of the cameras on this system get condensation when it rains, making them useless for a few days untill condensation clears up. I contacted Swann about this issue, they just kepth asking for information, then pictures, weather, proof purchase, they wanted the actual email order, which of course I deleted. Untill I gave up after about 50 min, and just had to open them up fix the seal, and put them up again. One worked well, however one I had to switch for another one I had under covered porchs, because seal was so chewed that it just wouldn't sit right. Actually tried the seal fix a couple of times, then decided to just swich them.
