A:AnswerHi Alex. This motion sensor connects to your Wi-Fi network and is then controlled via the Swann Security App. The app can be set to send you push notification alerts whenever the sensor detects motion. There is no sound emitted from the sensor itself however Swann sell an Indoor Siren/Chime unit which this sensor can trigger. The code for this siren/chime unit is SWIFI-ISIREN. Hope that helps. -SD, Swann team
A:AnswerWhen my router and separate modem were next to each other it connected disconnected connected disconnected soon as i moved the router it was fine
A:AnswerYes, when you connect it to Alexa or Google's version. You'll instruct Alexa to turn on lights when motion is detected. To do this, you'll need either a smart switch, plug or smart light bulbs. A plug is easiest but it will simply turn on or off lights, rather than control dimming. You'd connect the smart plug with Alexa. For a smart switch, the one you pick will depend on your home wiring. With any doubt, it's worth hiring an electrician as it won't take long. Smart bulbs are sometimes tricky if you want dimming - check with your existing wall switches for compatibility. Smart bulbs could be more expensive up front but they last a very long time, are easier to install than wall switches, and allow other options such as changing color!

A:AnswerHi Debrarose. Yes, this sensor can be used indoors or outdoors and has an IP66 weatherproof rating. Most competitor brands are not weatherproof so just be aware of that during your research. -SD, Swann team
