- Answer Hello! At this time SWFT does not sell accessories for our bikes however we hope to soon! If you would like a purchase an aftermarket rear rack, you will need to measure the space and to see if the product you are interested in will fit. We have seen many customers attach aftermarket rack, baskets, and other accessories to our bikes so there are definitely some compatible ones out there.

- Answer i removed the battery to paint the frame. it's quite easy. three hex bolts on the frame and one hex bolt on the bottom piece that covers the downtube hole. you'll have to remove a hexnut that holds the charging cord first before the battery can be pulled out. i believe i took it off with one of the supplied wrenches. you'l also have to diconnect a few cables. once everything is disconnected, the battery slides out pretty easily. just a little bit of elbow grease required.

- Answer It should be fine in most wet weather. To be safe, he could cover the control box on the handlebars.

- Answer The battery is built into the bike frame, the manual says it's a 10Ah battery pack and it recharges with a standard 100-240 volt AC outlet.

QuestionIs this bmx harder to ride or take longer getting places than a mountain/street bike? Any down sides?

- Answer It only has 1 gear, like a standard BMX and can be easily pedaled. You can ride it normally, or turn on the motor to assist with the pedaling, which makes it amazingly easy on hills. I can see no reason why it would take longer than a regular bike since it goes up to about 20 mph with the motor and as fast as you would normally pedal a bike.

- Answer I would say probably not. I am over 50 and was part of the old school movement in the early 80s. I ride it to work work (round trip about 7 miles). It takes me about 20 mins each way. I generally use bike assist 1 only, with a few relaxing segments of using the throttle.

- Answer The max supported weight of the BMX is 265lbs. Please note that this is the maximum weight supported by the frame, but if you are near the top end of the weight limit, you may not get as much response from your throttle. Hope this helps!

- Answer The battery price may change over time, and I don't know what it is currently as it's not on the manufacturer's website. So no one can answer the price question. BMX probably can if you call them: 833-747-4631
