A:Answer "Hi there! We do recommend locking your e-moped when parking it in a public location. You can find a number of third party bike chain combo locks that would work well for this, and lock your e-moped's front rim to a stable object such as a bike rack or a tree.
In CA, the MAXX is considered an e-scooter. You can operate an e-scooter with any class of driver's license in California. You do not need to register the device with the DMV. And you can only ride the scooter up to 15 MPH and on a bicycle path, trail or bikeway – but not on a sidewalk.
As power costs vary from location to location, we are currently unable to quote power costs for charging your e-moped. Please note, the time it takes for a full charge of the MAXX may take up to 6 hours. We recommend you plan out your rides, including distance and battery life prior to each ride.
Currently, the MAXX is not designed to have removable or extra batteries. The MAXX's battery life is expected to last up to 800 cycles. To extend the battery life, we recommend only charging it when the battery reaches 25% and charging it fully. Do not overcharge your battery and do disconnect when your MAXX is fully charged. At the end of the battery life, the battery would need to be replaced. We are partnering with SWFT-certified companies to help with this process in the near future!"
