A:Answer You don't. If you play something that's in a 4:3 ratio (like a 70s or 80s TV show), the picture will stretch out to widescreen. There's no way to change this. In the settings, you can select the 4:3 ratio option, but it doesn't matter. The 4:3 option is useful only if you use a cable to connect the DVD player to an older standard-screen TV. If you're viewing the show on the built-in display (which is widescreen), the image will stretch out to fill the screen no matter which settings you select.
