This will record OTA (over the air) programs. You access these recording just like any DVR. You can play the shows on any smart tv with their app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Julia, Our 4th Generation Tablo DVR comes with a TV guide that will display what shows are coming up in the next two weeks. Using this as a guide you can set a show or series to record. These recordings are stored on an internal Hard Drive or on a larger external one if you connect such. You can then go to our Library menu to access and play any of your recordings. You can only record shows that you get through your Tablo. However, given over-the-air options and free streaming channels, there should be a fair amount of content to choose from. Hope this helps.
