You need an HD antenna. But the channels you receive is dependent on the antenna rather than on the Tablo device. That said, you should get an outdoor antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one of those small square antennas. I've learned, if I lay it flat, it picks up more signals. CBS and PBS are weak signals in my area too. But once I learned about laying this antenna flat, all the signals came in much stronger. I've since secured my antenna outside flat under my balcony's roof. No weak signals anymore. Good luck.

That said, Clearstream makes an antenna that can be used indoor or outdoor that is the absolute best (no other is even close). I think it's a Clearstream2 or something like that. It's got UHF and VHF signal reception cpability. From 25 miles out, put up high in the house, near a window that is on the towers side or end of your house and point that direction. If it's still not reliable, your going to have to go to an attic or outdoor installation, bit at least you've already got an acceptable antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went through 3 antennas before I found one that worked without tweaking it all the time. We have three stations in Tulsa (NBC, ABC, and PBS) that were a struggle (all of them are VHF vs UHF) but with an Antop AT-5000BS in front of a window, the stations are strong and the antenna doesn't have to fooled with. This is an amplified antenna. One great thing about the Tablo is that it does not need to be by the TV since the shows are watched via WiFi, so you can locate the Tablo based on the over the air signal.

Also look for a multi-direction antenna, this will help with tv signals off axis. Antennas vary by application and geography. You can try the Antop "Big Boy" which can be used inside. It will be a lot of trials of different antennas to determine ideal signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried Indoor but I'm also in a weak signal area so I got an Outdoor with a 150 range capability and signal reception is OK now.
