Connect the Table Quad using an ethernet cable to your router. Then connect you tv or ROKU device using an ethernet cable from your router. This is how I have mine connected using ethernet, not WI-FI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you do not need WI-FI. I have mine connected using an ethernet cable, which is connected to my router. From the router I have my main tv connected with a ethernet cable. I also have another tv connected to my router using WI-FI, because that tv is not near a ethernet outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need WIFI to connect to the TV. There is no way to connect with a cable or hdmi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you don't need WiFi, but you do need internet access - can be wired. - https://www.tablotv.com/blog/tablo-faqs-do-i-need-internet-use-tablo-ota-dvr/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, without the guide it will not record shows or let you watch live tv. Also, you need to download the tablo app to your tv that connects to tablo by WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need WI-FI to download the Tablo app. The Tablo app is the software that runs the Tablo QUAD OTA DVR. Without the software, the equipment will not work. Once the Tablo software is downloaded you can then use the TABLO QUAD OTA DVR to view local Over The Air channels. Of course, that means you need an over the air antenna to pick up the local channels. Also, the WI-FI is needed to download upgrades to the Tablo app. The Tablo app is like YouTube. Of course, you need a router to pick up the WI-FI. I hope this answers your questions. I love my Tablo Quad OTA DVR and the app. The DVR allows you to download channels, save them, and watch them later.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can record out-of-the-box. However, it only allows for a 24 hour guide. If you do the Tablo subscription for the guide. It will gives you a 2 week guide. The Tablo Quad does have a wired network port (Ethernet). I run my Tablo straight to the router. Less hiccups than what you get with WiFi. There is also a subscription to skip commercials.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.definitely NOT. you need wifi to get the signal from the tablo to your tv; there is no hardwire option for this. That surprised me also. so this means you need either a smart tv or something you can attache to your tv that receives a wireless signal. we are using a roku stickfor this.
