QuestionWill this lens work on my EOS 5D Mark III?

- Answer I have the same camera, but I have problems with black edges on photos. I first thought it was because of the lens hood, so I took it off but still have those dark edges. I am returning the lens today. I dont want to return it, because no one else has a lens with that reach, but I cant use it and have to crop out the edges of every single photo. Hope this helps. (I have posted a photo showing what I am talking about)

QuestionI'm looking for an affordable lense that can get me closer pics of wildlife. Currently I own a 55-250mm lense. Would I notice a big difference with this lense?

- Answer I think you will. I used the 18 x 270 for years, bought it when it first came out. For me, I feel the difference is significant. It is like having a 640mm lens. I am very pleased with it. A little heavier, of course, but I highly recommend the lens. I am lazy and don't like changing my lens. This has been my salvation. Tamron is a great product for me.

- Answer I was very pleased with the results I shot at several Spring Training baseball games in Florida. Great zoom capability, fine sharpness on subjects (with the additional screening at most parks, most of my work was with the autofocus turned off. It also produced good, sharp results inside nightclubs and theaters where I shoot concerts.

QuestionI have a Canon Mark 5D III camera and just got a Tamron 400mm lens. When I shoot the photo, it crops the outside of the picture. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is supposed to be?

- Answer This lens, the 18-400mm Tamron was made for crop sensors, not full frame.

- Answer This is an APS-C lens, designed for APC-C cameras with an EF-S mount. The Canon T6s fits those criteria. I have a T6s and the Mark 7D II, this lens works fine with both cameras. It has VC, Vibration Compensation, which is Tamron's version of image stabilization.

QuestionWill this lens autofocus with a canon m3 using the adapter. The Tamron 16-300 does not.

- Answer I have a Canon M5 and both the 16-300mm and 18-400mm and each works as it should. The AF does hunt a little from time to time with each, but have not had any issues of it not working at all. I don't know if the M3 connection is different. Is your adapter made by Canon? I initially got one that was not by Canon and it seemed loose. I then got a Canon adapter and it is almost like connecting the lens directly to the camera since it is a tight fit. If you have the opportunity, take your camera and try the lens before buying. Just a thought.

- Answer Yes. I shoot with T1i fitting is not a problem. I noticed with this lens when I shoot with flash on I see shadow image of the lens on the pic. I don't know if Im doing something wrong, I'm a beginner. Maybe someone can suggest what to do to resolve this.
