In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

I called ROKU services and was told that I have to pay $64.00 for a subscription to use this tv. I will be returning both tvs as this service was not free.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you do not have to subscribe to Roku. When you turn on your tv for the first time, and go thru the setup, they will give you a code that you will have to go online to active the Roku. Just scroll down and go to continue.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ROKU is a connection and there are multiple "FREE" apps but also many, many paid apps. To get local TV and cable like service you have to pay for a service. Recommend you get one their wb site.
