REX, ROKU works the same way the Amazon Firestick does. Once you sign in, it gives you a home page with a preset group of channels and apps you can use, some are free and others require a subscription. I haven't used Smart Cast or Smart Tizen, but they appear to work the same way. You can always add the apps you are missing by searching under the program, for channels and subscriptions you want to add. I am also able to stream programs to my TV through ROKU.

Roku is a streaming platform that offers many features, including thousands of streaming channels (apps) and over 500,000 movies and TV episodes. Some content is free while other content is subscription based or pay-per-view. You can go to www.Roku.com/whats-on to see what streaming channels and apps are offered through the Roku Channel Store. To search for a specific channel you would simply want to enter that information into the search section. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
